The Davyhulme project near Manchester is the modernisation of the city’s existing water treatment works. The project for Praeter, consisted of 16nr. pre-cast / post-tensioned tanks. The pre-cast panels were stood and propped prior to all tendons being installed from the 2 stressing panels. Sequential stressing was carried out in stages to bring the panels in evenly around the tank before the tendons grouted.
