PROJECT DESCRIPTION – SOUTHBANK PLACE

The Southbank Place development is a re-development of the Shell Centre and is situated on the south bank of the Thames next to Waterloo station. The existing Shell Tower has been retained and 6 residential and 2 commercial buildings built. Praeter Engineering has carried out the post-tensioning works to Buildings 3, 4A, 4B and the Shell Tower podium area In addition to the design, supply and installation of the post-tensioning slabs, Praeter also carried out the monitoring and temporary tie down of the cores using Macalloy bars.
