POST-TENSIONED STAIRCASES

POST-TENSIONED PRECAST STAIRCASES BENEFITS
The benefits of using post-tensioning over a traditional RC precast segement are;
  • Larger unsupported spans
  • Elmination of supports at half landings
  • Longer cantilever sections
  • Thinner stringer sections
  • Visually striking architectural appearance
  • Open and undisturbed areas

Note that post-tensioning can also be incoporated into an on-site in-situ concrete staircase solution but the precast option generally offers a more controlled environment to form the required finishes.
