The savings that Praeter can offer to our clients increase significantly when we are engaged at the earliest available stage. Full advantage can be taken from early involvement in the design and incorporated into the construction stage to minimise overall construction costs.

The benefits of Post-Tensioning construction over traditional RC are;

  • Thinner concrete members with flat soffits
  • Larger spans than traditional RC slabs and beams
  • Less reinforcement
  • Crack control (exposed soffits)
  • Fewer deliveries
  • Quicker formwork striking times and programme savings
  • Increase in floor to ceiling heights
  • Decrease in CO2 emissions
  • Easier routing of M&E
  • Overall cost savings

Early engagement by the main client can lead to even bigger savings from smaller foundations through to extra levels being added to the building due to the savings in floor to ceiling height or a reduction in the facade costs.
